CONSTRUCTION VIBRATION MONITORING

Vibration monitoring plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of surrounding buildings, high-valued assets, and structural elements during construction activities. By continuously tracking vibration levels, we can identify potential issues early and take proactive measures to prevent damage or disruption. Our team is dedicated to developing comprehensive monitoring plans tailored specifically to your project's unique requirements. We can create these plans based on detailed specifications you provide or by assessing information about your site, including the type of construction work involved, proximity to sensitive structures, and environmental conditions.

Throughout the monitoring process, we offer expert guidance on best practices and methods to ensure that your project remains compliant with relevant regulations and safety standards. This includes advising on appropriate vibration thresholds, data collection techniques, and mitigation strategies to minimize impact. Our goal is to support you in executing your project smoothly, maintaining safety, and safeguarding surrounding assets, all while adhering to legal and environmental guidelines.

Activities that generate vibration:

  • Demolition of existing structures

  • Excavation Works

  • Piling Works

  • Breaking of Concrete Slabs

  • Heavy Vehicle Movement

  • Construction Works

Structures that vibration can affect:

  • Railway Lines

  • Commercial & Residential Buildings

  • Listed Buildings

  • Water Mains

  • Electrical Sub Stations

  • Gas Mains

  • Hospital Scanners

  • Data Centers

The vibration monitoring equipment and solutions we use, offer our clients the peace of mind that the construction works being carried out do not affect the surrounding buildings or structures.  We have a wide range and well-supported fleet of well maintained modern vibration monitors.

Our Monitoring Services

Our vibration meters will measure the levels of vibration to ensure works remain within set parameters and are fully compliant with British Standards BS7385, BS5228, and DIN4150-2.  With our vibration sensors being small portable monitors, they are ideal for moving around construction sites if required.

The vibration meters would be installed on-site by a vibration consultant, and all monitoring is carried out remotely and in real time. Our friendly staff keeps you and your team informed by phone, text message, or email with the levels being generated on your site.  Finally, we provide weekly monitoring reports, which are sent to your Site Managers at no extra cost.

Alongside vibration monitoring, we also provide Noise & Dust (Air Quality) Monitoring Services as part of our environmental monitoring package.  Monitoring noise & dust on your site protects the health and well-being of your workers and the local community.

Vibration Monitoring Services provides the full environmental monitoring package, ensuring our clients meet the requirements of their brief. If you would like to know more about our services, please call us today on 0208 108 0440.

The Swarm Vibration Monitor

The SWARM is a modern vibration monitoring solution that performs high-quality vibration measurements at construction sites. They send vibration measurement data wirelessly to the Honeycomb web platform, where our Clients can view real time data 24/7. These monitors send out instant alerts if vibration levels are too high that structures are at risk. Being compact and lightweight, the SWARM is easy to install and move around construction sites as works progress.
